Parking, Streets and Toilets

Pay for parking using your mobile

black and green Ring Go logo

When parking your car in any of our pay and display car parks or on-street parking bays, you have the option to pay using RingGo, our cashless payment provider.

Use the links below to find the information you need:

Benefits of using RingGo

  • Cashless parking means that you don't need to find the correct change to pay
  • You no longer have to display your tickets, therefore less chance of mishaps
  • Extended parking options - so you don't have to return to your car to add extra time on your ticket
  • Text message parking reminders (optional charge 10p for alerting you when your session is about to come to an end)

Registering your vehicle

To pay using your mobile phone, simply register online, download the RingGo smartphone app or call 01905 880055. You will be asked to provide:

  • The number plate, colour and make of your vehicle
  • Your payment card details

Booking your parking session

Each time you book, the service automatically recognises your mobile phone number and retrieves the details you gave during registration. Information that you need to provide for each session:

  • The 5 digit location code where you are parked (Local signs provide this information)
  • The length of time you want to park
  • 3 digit security code on the back of our payment card
Please note that the RingGo app should highlight the correct location code for where you are standing. However, please make sure you double check this against local signage, as in some places, zones are closely located.

Smartphone app

iPhone and Android users can download RingGo, free of charge from the app stores. See below:
iPhones handsets - Apple iTunes store
Android handsets - Google play

The app lets you register for the service, locate your nearest RingGo zone, allows you to manage your account, obtain free parking sessions of less than 30 minutes, and pay to park directly through the app. There is no charge for registering with RingGo and no charge for downloading or using the RingGo smartphone applications.

Automated phone service

To use the automated phone service, you simply call the phone number on the signs when you want to park. RingGo will remember you (by recognising your mobile phone number) and ask you to:
  • Confirm the vehicle you want to park
  • Confirm the location where you want to park
  • Say how long you want to stay, and
  • Provide the security code from your credit card
If you call RingGo, the number used is a geographic one, so you are charged the standard rate agreed with your mobile phone operator.

Text to park

You can use the quick and easy RingGo “text to park” by sending a text message. The text includes:
  • Location code
  • Length of time needed to park
  • card security number (3 digit)
So for instance, sending a message with ‘RingGo 20700 2h 867’ to 81025 will park your nominated vehicle for up to 2 hours in the Lido park car park, Droitwich.

If you use the RingGo “text to park” option, you will pay for the outgoing text message at your agreed operator rate. For details on how to set up the service for your particular location and how to use the service, please read the Text to Park information page on the RingGo website.

Internet options

If you have a phone with mobile internet access, you can use the myRingGo website to book your parking. Simply login and complete the details. Alternatively, you can use the same link from a standard PC or other internet connected devices.

For more information on all of these options, please see myRingGo.

Corporate Accounts

RingGo Corporate is a special version of RingGo, designed for business employees. It saves time and hassle by allowing businesses to set up a prepaid account, which nominated employees can use to pay for their parking when on business. There’s no need for employees to know company credit card details or pay and claim. They also get alerted when their parking is about to run out, reducing the risk of receiving a parking charge notice.

From the business point of view, organisations receive an HMRC approved consolidated parking invoice which itemises VAT that can be claimed back, together with management reports that help better control parking costs.
