Eckington Neighbourhood Plan 'Made' (Adopted) - 19 February 2020
At its Council meeting on 19 February 2020, Wychavon District Council 'made' (adopted) the Eckington Neighbourhood Plan; it now forms part of the Development Plan for Wychavon District. The adopted Eckington Neighbourhood Plan and Decision Document can be viewed using the links below:

Successful Referendum – 30 January 2020
A Referendum on the Eckington Neighbourhood Plan was held on Thursday 30 January 2020. There was a 56% turn out, with 88% voting in favour of Wychavon using the Neighbourhood Plan for Eckington to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area.
Decision Statement Published and Referendum Date Set - 26 November 2019
Following the examination of the Eckington Neighbourhood Plan earlier on in the year, the Independent Examiner's recommended modifications have been agreed as detailed in the Decision Statement.
A Referendum will be held on Thursday 30 January 2020 to ask voters "Do you want Wychavon District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Eckington to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area?"

Submitted Neighbourhood Plan Consultation - 15 March to 29 April 2019
Under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Eckington Parish Council submitted its Neighbourhood Plan to Wychavon District Council on 6 March 2019. In accordance with Regulation 16, a public consultation was held from Friday 15 March to 5pm Monday 29 April 2019, during which interested parties were invited to make comments on the Eckington Neighbourhood Plan.

Neighbourhood Area Application - Approved 17 March 2015
Wychavon District Council received an application for the designation of a Neighbourhood Area by Eckington Parish Council on Monday 6 October 2014. The six week consultation ran from Wednesday 15 October until Wednesday 26 November 2014, and no objections were raised on the proposed neighbourhood area boundary. The Neighbourhood Area was subsequently approved by Executive Board on 17 March 2015.
