Are you prepared for an emergency?

Emergencies such as flooding, fires and power cuts can affect us all. There are simple and effective steps you can take to be more prepared.

Whether you’re a Parish Council or a local resident, we’re here to help you understand potential risks, plan for different types of emergencies, and support your community to become more resilient.

Communities Prepared website is a very useful website that shows you how to make your community stronger and more resilient. It also lets you sign up as a volunteer if you want to get involved.

The offers information for online training sessions and workshops, as well as downloadable volunteer training materials and advice on a range of topics, such as developing community emergency or flood plans, risk assessments, and communications and fundraising support.
