Wychavon has announced plans for new public artwork that will transform the area under Abbey Bridge, Evesham, between Crown and Corporation Meadows. This project is a unique opportunity for Evesham residents to share their ideas and get involved in shaping the community's artistic vision.
Starting on Monday, 28 July, Wychavon will launch a two-week survey to gather ideas and preferences from residents about the themes they would like to see featured in the upcoming street art installations. This is an opportunity for Evesham residents to make a difference and share their creative ideas.

The ideas collected from the residents’ survey will be used in a workshop where young people will also have the chance to contribute. Together, they will collaborate with a yet-to-be-selected artist to develop designs that truly reflect the spirit of Evesham.
The artwork, which is expected to be installed in Spring 2026, originated from discussions raised at the Evesham Place Board, which includes representatives of local businesses, community organisations and political representatives. Once completed, the street art will enhance the community space, creating a welcoming environment for both residents and visitors alike.
“Commitment to making our area a vibrant focal point is our priority, and I am eager to hear what residents envision for these installations,” said Phil Maclean, Chair of Evesham Place Board.
Cllr Rob Adams, Executive Board Member for Strong Communities, Culture and Sport, said: “These artworks will be a fantastic enhancement to Evesham and provide another reason to explore our wonderful town. I urge everyone to take part and help us create something remarkable.”
Residents are encouraged to submit their ideas by Monday, 11 August 2025. This project is being funded through Wychavon’s share of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
